Through newly enabled integration with third party tools, the Install Capture process can produce clean, packageable MSI's from any application installer or even just the application source files required for the application to run.

Creating Virtualization Sequences

Once the applications that require sequencing have been identified, the AppTitude Production Manager can be used to provide a snapshot of the install process as well as documentation or "recipe" through an automated process via its install capture functionality. AppTitude Production Manager supports best practices by automatically documents any user interaction that occurs during the snapshot/sequencing process producing an automatic document of the install which produces an install "recipe".Through newly enabled integration with third party tools, the install capture process enables the production of a working sequence if required using an automated or manual profile.

Automated Documentation

During the install capture process AppTitude's documentation feature automatically takes screenshots of each step of activity performed and compiles these into a document. Comments can be added to screenshots and both the install and a first run of the application can be recorded for future testing and re-packaging activity. Clear, reusable documentation supports project teams and their processes and promotes transparency and accuracy amongst all users.
